Baked Apples

 Low Calorie Baked ApplesKimberley K. Eggleston

During the fall, when apples are their freshest, the aroma of these baked apples fills our house with all the smells of autumn.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 25 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 4 medium-sized granny smith apples
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

Preparation:

1. Preheat the oven to 350°F

2. Wash apples, and scoop out the majority of the seeds and core, keeping the bottom in tact. In a small dish, combine the raisins, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Fill the cavity of each apple with about 1 tablespoon of the raisin mixture. Bake in a a shallow baking dish for 25 minutes.
